What decides whether we take a job on
Distance matters less than access and size. A large pour an hour away can be easier to run than a small one behind a house with no room for a truck, because concrete has a working time and everything on the day is organised around it.
Where a job sits also decides which permits apply, who inspects it and when. Those rules are set by the authority for the area rather than by us, so the first thing a site visit establishes is which set you are under.
If your area is not listed, it is still worth asking — coverage moves with the schedule.
What to have ready when you call
- Roughly where the job is, and whether it is residential or commercial.
- Approximate dimensions, even paced out.
- Whether anything has to come out before the new work goes down.
- How a truck would get to it, and what is in the way.
- Photos of the area from two or three angles.
- Whether there is a date you are working towards.
What happens after you call

Site visit
We come out, walk the job, and look at access, levels and what has to come out first.

Written scope
Thickness, reinforcement, sub-base prep, finish, joints and haul-off, itemised so it can be compared line for line.

Prep and scheduling
Permits where they apply, then excavation, formwork and any inspections booked in sequence.
- 04
Pour and finish
Place, consolidate and finish to the spec on the quote — broom, smooth, salt or stamped.

Walkthrough
We walk the finished work with you and go over how to look after it while it cures.
